LA Express Car Wash

WARNING: Do NOT take your car here unless you want your car to get damaged!!! I've been coming to this car wash for awhile, but came back in Aug for a routine wash and their machines completely knocked off the cover of my rear view mirror. I didn't notice it until I drove away and when I came right back to let the employees know, they were kind and took my number and told me they would call me if they found the piece. They confirmed that they saw on the video footage that the piece had indeed gone missing during my time in their machines. I asked if I should report it to insurance but they reassured me several times that even if they didn't find the piece, they would have their mechanic fix it at no cost to me. I never got a phone call from them so I came back the next day to check on the status. They told me they hadn't found it and sent me an address to their "mechanic" and told me to tell him they sent me. The mechanic was a bit sketchy and not in the best area of Echo Park, but whatever I wanted my car fixed. The first thing the mechanic said when I told him the car wash sent me was "Again?!? If this keeps happening they're gonna go out of business" He told me this has been happening A LOT. He surveyed the damage and took my number and told me he'd call me once the piece came in. A week and a half later he never called so I texted him. He had the audacity to ask me if I could buy the piece myself bc he didn't know how to get it. I humored him and did some research and sent him some links a few days later. No response. I followed up a few more times. No response. Overall, this car wash is shady. They deal with shady "mechanics" who will NOT fix your car after they damaged it. After almost 2 months of chasing this guy around I finally went somewhere else and paid out of pocket. In conclusion a $20 car wash is NOT worth the hundreds of dollars of damage they will do to your car. DO NOT GO HERE.

Don't go here. They damage your vehicle and won't do anything about it. They no longer have a mirror on the top of where you enter the car wash so you have to depend on the attendant waving you through to see that you have aligned your wheel on the track. When I exited the car wash and parked in the vacuum area, my tire pressure sensor showed the front tire was loosing pressure quickly. I immediately go out to check the tire and the tire deflated. The valve stem had snapped off in the car wash because the track ripped it off. The attendant said they made an incident report and the manager will call me to arrange for me to go to their mechanic and for them to repair it. Never received that call from the manager. Tried calling the car wash several times and it just rings a couple of times and you can't leave a voicemail because the voicemail is full. The $10 to $15 wash is not worth it. No wonder it was empty there.

AVOID THIS PLACE. I should’ve listened to the negative reviews/ the ones warning about this place due to harm that may occur to your car. I, like other people who wrote reviews, was attracted to the prices and needed to find a local drive through car wash - big mistake coming here! The person who was guiding the cars onto the wheel conveyer belt (right before you put your car in neutral and go through) was not attentive, visibly just trying to rush cars through and could care less about doing it right or. communicating it. I could tell my car wasn’t on the belt right so I said something, to which he proceeded to ignore my concerns and wave his hand in a gesture that told me it was fine and to keep going. That ended up breaking the rim; I heard a loud crack and tried to stop but he told me it was fine and to go through as people were behind me and everything was fine. After going through I got out and noticed right away the RIM WAS BROKEN! so careless on their end and evident they don’t care about damaging peoples cars. There are even multiple signs around the car wash that state damages may happen to which they are not responsible for - that should’ve been a forewarning in itself - super annoyed I came here!!!!!

It’s a drive through wash with decent vacuums, but they don’t provide towels to dry your car nor do they provide wet wipes to wipe down the inside of your car and dash like every other similar car wash. You can find better places for the price.

The staff here is so kind and accommodating. My car was an absolute mess after we accidentally parked underneath a busy tree ???? and even though the first wash did a really good job, there were still some spots left that I was trying to buff out. They were so kind and let me go through a second time. Love the towel and air freshener that comes with the ceramic wash.
