La Casa del Chimi Restaurant

Me and my mother stumbled across this gem traveling for work. With mostly chains coming up on google for the area, I knew this would be the spot for a great meal and boy was I right! The owner’s daughter was so kind and helpful explaining the different cooked meats they had to offer. All of the workers catered to our needs and questions. I love learning and trying food of other cultures, and my first time having Dominican food here will be a memory I will cherish for the rest of my life!! FOOD WAS PERFECT AND DELICIOUS!!!!!

Really guys?! An hour waiting for delivery and by the waiting time the food was cold. Fried plantains cold and hard without salt and the service should have mayoketchup but nothing. Thanks for making my friends experience HORRIBLE as the food! Attitude and service POOOOOOOR. You DON'T sell Dominicans Chimi. You guys sell hot sandwiches. The ribs were HARD, the fried plantains wasn't good at ALL. The mangu with the 3 strikes SALTY and OILY... 0 and, 0, AND 0 AGAIN!!!

I don’t 100% know what I ordered because I was with a coworker who loves this place and they helped me order but all I can tell you is what you see in the photo I attached to this review was all delicious and 100% recommend trying it. Meat was tender, rice was perfectly seasoned and fluffy. Plantains were soft and yummy. 5/5 ????

The Pernil was amazing!!! I will 1000% be back here any and every time I’m in the neighborhood! The price was on point and the food was sooooo good!!!

Update: they have remodeled the place and the food has been getting better. They are trying to answer the phone more often. Some of their food is good, some not as much. Those who really know about good Hispanic food can tell the difference. I would recomend the picalonga and the mofongo with shrimps. nothing else there is good. I must mention they barely answer the phone and the food is also pricey considering the location, the quality and the quantity served. overall, go there only if there's no where else to eat Hispanic food.
