Ichiban Asian Bistro & Go -Madison

Got there just after they opened for dinner. The food tasted wonderful. Food on the hot bar was cold to warm at best. We asked about it and never really got anyone to acknowledge that it was cold. Tasty but cold. My wife and each had the buffet with water for the drink. The total bill was over $43.00 including a MANDITORY $5.00 gratuity. Tasty cold food, nice clean atmosphere, but customer service and their give poo is lacking at best. I really wanted to like the place, but sadly won't be back.

Absolutely will not be back. You bring us drinks one time and expect us to pay a 15% gratuity fee on a party of 2? This is an outrageous business practice that I will not support. Will be going elsewhere when considering Asian cuisine. BE WARNED!!

Went to Ichiban for the first time while visiting relatives in Madison, MS. It was very enjoyable. My family had the full hibachi experience and I decided to take in the buffet. the food was very good although the temperature on the soup in the buffet was too low. Would definitely go again.

Food was OK but not worth the $25 per person price. The automatic 15% Gratuity was worthless, as it is a buffet and we never got our drinks refilled. Will not be returning. Considering price, food quality and automatic gratuity…I would rate it a 1 and strongly suggest Mama Hamils…better food, better price ($15) and NO automatic 15% Gratuity

To our surprise, Friday was seafood buffet night, priced at $25.99 plus drinks.There was very little seafood, shrimp was overcooked and hard to peel. Sushi was consistently flavorless. As previously noted, a 15% tip is added to the check, even though there is minimal service at a buffet. There are better and less expensive budgets in the area
