Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant

First time and last time. Atmosphere was not welcoming. Difficulty communicating with lady behind the counter. Another person very loudly speaking on the phone. Got home with food & it was so-so. Noodles were thick & chewy. Way to much heavy sauce.

I've picked up 2 large to go orders over the last 2 weeks and the food has been amazing! Fresh, hot and actually the best Chinese locally I've had in AWHILE!!! I cant speak for all the items on the menu but their lo mein, sesame chicken, eggrolls, rice and steamed broccoli have been soooo good. Myself and everyone else that I picked up food for agreed. I hope they keep it up because it's hard to find good Chinese in owensboro. I hardly ever take the time to give reviews but felt it was deserved here.

Heard complaint from person behind the counter that I didn’t tip. I should not have to tip for take out. It’s basically same as going through drive thru at BK. Best Chinese food in Owensboro but will be last time I order due to the desire to be tipped for cooking food and selling at the price YOU SET

Ordered extra spicy curry chicken and it was made with some sauce that was very sweet and off putting. 2 stars because the pork fried rice was actually pretty good. Also the woman taking my order over the phone just hung up before I could place my whole order. Had to call back to finish. (It was only 4 menu items total) just not sure why extra spicy curry chicken would be so sweet.

Wonderful food. Fast service. Fair prices. We LOVE this place. It’s our go to Chinese Restaurant. It’s so much better then the buffet place here in Owensboro. However, I did notice recently that their containers got smaller while the prices didn’t get cheaper. But prob their way of dealing with inflation. Everyone has had to make adjustments.
