Harold Waite Pancake & Steak

Entering Harold Waite is like stepping into a time machine. The furniture ????and decor probably hasn't changed in fifty years! No frills here. You'll have to seat yourself and no frappa macha grande coffee ?? here. What you will find is good food ???? and friendly service ?????????. This is the classic American dinner experience. ????????

This place is the same as I remember it being 30 years ago. We used to come just about every weekend, and now that I don't live here anymore, we don't get to go as often, but this is a Waco classic. I can't imagine Waco without this place, one of the best brunch/lunch places in town.

My issue are 2 things. 1 The cashier goes just outside the front door and smokes, doesn't wash her hands afterwards and sits people with menu and your silverware in hand. 2 the prices have gone way up. Great breakfast though

I ate here this morning. The waitress and staff are always so warm and accommodating. The food is great and I enjoy eating here. But this morning when I left, I stayed in my car for a moment sending an email. I saw the sweetest thing happen. The young lady who took my money, came out the door and there was an older gentleman that need help getting out of his vehicle and into the restaurant. It was the sweetest exchange. She made sure his clothes were straightened up and met him with a smiling face and conversation. Bravo to her and Harold Waite's for employing such excellent caring employees.

When we entered, no one attended us. We sat ourselves in a booth until the waitress came to get our order. We Ordered omelets and crepes. Omelets were greasy. It messed my stomach. Initial coffee was cold but the waitress Candice made a new pot for us. She was a sweet lady. We were not impressed with the food. The strawberries on the crepes tasted thawed and not fresh. I do have to say that the bacon was crispy and delicious. If you want homemade biscuits, this is NOT the place to order. The place looks run down. The women’s restroom needs a serious makeover. The panel and wall paper is about to fall down on someone while sitting in the toilet. Honestly, I am not sure if I would come back to this place.
