Happy Nails Altoona

The only reason I came to this salon is literally because of my mother and how she claimed it was the best. She even mentioned how outrageous pedicures were saying they were 50$, even if this presidency, I mean economy. No pedicure should be 50$. The difference between is maybe some orange slices in the water LOL This was my 2nd time getting a service here which were both regular gel pedicures or shellac polish. The first time I realized why she was saying pedicures are 50$ because once she sat down the only pedicure choice she was shown was of course the most expensive. I am particular about my pedicures because i like to have my big toe long and squares of using an acrylic tip, I asked them if they have acrylic tips for toes and she said yes then try to completely freehand an acrylic nail on my big toe without even using formers. If she would have just said she didn't have acrylic tips for my big toe and almost insulting me because their thumb acrylic tips were too small for me lol. If she would have just been honest everyone's time wouldn't have been wasted. She also showed me her own feet in comparison with the literal description of "my feet are better" I will give her credit for a good leg massage during my pedicure. A service is a service and jf you feel you cannot meet the customers expectations, be honest and don't waste anybodys time instead of taking on a service you can't meet the expectations of. If you feel like what a patron is asking for is too much, just say it so they can find someone who actually can. Upon cashing out, after my mom sitting and waiting for me to be done for at least 15 minutes, by the time the lady has removed the shellac polish, redoing the entire big toe because she herself felt not confident enough. She shows me the final product a ripple effect white somewhat oval, pretty much the shape. My big toe was when I came in. you could clearly see where the coats of shellac painted ended , nor did she take all the paint to the cuticle, by this time, I was done being in a salon chair, I'm just tired of being in the vicinity itself. The owner tried to try in and fix the problem, but I was just irritated with the whole situation from gossiping in front of clients to letting a client leave the chair highly upset. I turned down her offer to get fixed by the owner herself, explaining the same thing how I'm tired of being in her establishment. Instead of getting back into the chair for the second time to waste another 30 minutes, asked if my mom could receive a discount on her next pedicure because she's a regular customer. The owner said there's no way she could give her credit or a discount on the next visit, after going back-and-forth with her, we agreed on her just giving me the $15 which is the difference between a regular pedicure and a shellac regular pedicure. terrible experience you won't catch me there again. sad to say I left "Happy Nails" very unhappy that day. EDIT: I see another one star reviews that a refund is very much offered, but when I asked for a simple discount on my mother's next visit, she acted like it was going to cost her an arm and a leg. This place a joke.

Allison and her staff are beyond WONDERFUL!????i have taken 2 of my daughters there, and continue to refer anyone I can to there! They go above and beyond to make sure we have always been happy! Always explain different polish types. Which is very helpful to me lol! Prices are spot on! Pedicures are AMAZING!???? I wish I could go every day for just the massage alone! I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a new Nail place!??

I love this place, they always get me in when I show up after a busy day of work on a friday and i alway arrive during the busiest time, they are always accomodating very polite, and efficient. I always leave feeling happy and refreshed. I've had maybe one incident with a peeled shellac polish on my big toe and they got me in right away the next day to fix for free. 5 stars by far ??

My girls (11y/o and 14 y/o) and I stopped in late on a Saturday night and the owner got us right in and we had a great time with her and her sister in law! Great personalities! Very friendly and all three of us girls loved our nails and we felt like they really listened to what we really wanted! Well done Happy Nails! Thank you. ??

It’s good:) Nice space. They did good and when they couldn’t do the design they did something else and it was so cute ??!! I love getting my nails done the last ones I did was based off of jinx from arcane you should watch it… -waffle (waffle is nickname)
