Gilbert Creek Park

The park "was" a decent place to take the kids. Now it's a place for homeless to abuse drugs and sleep around. My last visit was unpleasant taking my son to use the restroom with a homeless guy doing drugs on the bench in broad daylight being obnoxious and trying to talk to my kid on the way into the bathroom and playing loud music out of his backpack. Made a very uncomfortable situation. I haven't brought my kids to play at this playground in a long while due to the worry of them possibly getting stuck by a dirty needle or someone asleep under a nearby tree. Every time I tried returning I was met with similar negative experience There are simply no parks I feel comfortable taking my kids to in gp anymore. A park should be peaceful and nice and clean and inviting. Now it's the exact opposite. The sad thing my kids love going to parks but the environment at parks recently makes me the parent the bad guy not wanting to expose them to these negative things that no kid should be exposed to in a positive setting. I really hope gp cleans up these parks and bring families back to the parks for kids to have a fun enjoyable place to experience and for the people who are ruining these parks to a location that's for just them and only them. Which yes a container to put needles in to keep off the playground but there shouldn't be a situation happening at a park. If you're a parent I'd think twice taking your kids here.

I love walking around this park with my daughter. They have tennis courts, a dog park, a creek runs through it, it has a nice playground for smaller kids, and u can walk across the bridge(s) to the other side of the creek and there's a jogging path with exercise equipment along the path. Considering I clean the restrooms as part of my job. I could say I wish the patrons would help keep it clean. Or should I say show more respect for the organizations that provide the park itself.

Just stopped briefly to utilize the restroom facilities, was quite and the restroom was decently clean. The playground had a lil trash but not bad however there was a few undesirables creeping round but other than that it's okay

Always happy with this dog park. It also made my day to see a father teaching his young daughter tennis. The people having picnics also reminded me how peaceful this park is. The little creel running thru it is tranquil and calming.
