Frontier Steakhouse

Our family had a wonderful supper here. Everything was so flavorful. I ordered the beer battered walleye, and wish I'd have ordered the plain battered instead, as the beer battered seemed to cover up the flavor of the walleye. The tomato bisque soup, the pea salad, the pasta salad, and even the toast, were delicious. Disappointed the ice cream was only chocolate that evening, but we were all very happy with our meals. Nice full and tasty burgers for some of the others. The atmosphere was nice, the service was quite good. The plants outdoors were beautiful, too. We will definitely be back!

This was our first time taking the drive to Princeton to experience Frontier Steakhouse. It’s not an expensive AAA steakhouse but, its good steak, good food, at a reasonable price! We were impressed by the salad and large hot bar. They also had good soup and soft serve ice cream counters. My wife had the 8-oz sirloin, daughter had the bacon grilled cheese sandwich and I had the chopped steak. Chopped steak was average but the sirloin was tender and juicy. If you you leave here hungry it's your fault! Great family restaurant! Very nice waitress. We will make the drive again.

this is the perfect place to visit...the servir was very nice explaining everything in the menu. The salad bar is always very clean and presentable with variety of options..the steak was well served..the place is very clean ???? ???? excellent!!!

It's a good steak for a great price! Nice casual steak joint that won't break the bank. We had two steak meals and 1 prime rib meal and 1 kids meal for $85 before tip. Jeans and tshirts are the main dress code here. The prime rib was very good. The steak was flavorful but needed salt, but was cooked to order very well. Salad bar was fresh and quite a few options at the hot bar along with two soups. The ice cream bar is soft serve ice cream only with three options for toppings, caramel, chocolate and some sort of berry sauce. But there is sweet options in the salad bar as well for a dessert choice. Service was great!

Hit it lucky when looking for a place in Princeton to have lunch when trying Frontier. Definitely one of those places with fantastic homestyle cooking where locals gather on a daily basis. Had their all you can eat broasted chicken with cold and hot salad bar for only $11.50. Truly a great value with food just like mom made. Salad bar contained a minimum of 15 varieties ranging from lettuce to jello to macaroni. Had an awesome whipped pistachio salad which is a great off set to the chicken, ribs and chow main which were part of the hot bar. If you still had room they have an ice cream bar for dessert. Way too much food but delicious! Usually don't comment about bathrooms but the one at Frontier was meticulously clean with a delightful cherry scent throughout. To top things off my server was tremendous and took care of my needs the time I was there. Never ending supply of coffee!! Easy off street parking and handicap access. Highly recommend Frontier Steakhouse for breakfast, lunch or dinner when in Princeton.
