Black Patch Grille

While vacationing in the area, we decided to try it for lunch. The place was fairly empty, which was not surprising since it was 1:30 on a week day. We were seated quickly in a window seating area. The waitress was friendly and helpful. The restaurant had a small town feel but with an Irish twist. The food was delivered quickly and was hot and tasty. I had the Rubin sandwich and my wife whiskey burger. We shared fries and house salad for sides. Portions were good but not huge. Both of us only ate 1/2 of our sandwiches. I would recommend checking this out if you're in the area.

Stopped here on the drive home after a hike at Mantle Rock. Cool little spot, buried in a cool little downtown area. Was not busy, at all, in the middle of a Saturday afternoon in November. The service was OUTSTANDING, the beer was cold and the burger was enormous and delicious. Wife's smothered chicken was really really good. However, the star of the show was the fudge pie and vanilla ice cream...fudge pie was still warm and tasted like a fudge cobbler. Amazing. And when she said the vanilla ice cream tastes like "snow cream," she was telling the truth. Exactly what I want when I have vanilla ice cream. If you are near Princeton, Ky, stop in.

First time in Princeton was hungry and seen the black patch thought I would stop for a bite. Well got more then I had expected. Food was absolutely amazing and delivered fast. Service with a smile and they talk to you like a real person not like some places where the servers talk to you like a paycheck real people is what I like. This is a definite come back to place. Every stop has been a great time. I really enjoyed my lunch experience at BPG. The fish sandwich (no longer on lunch menu) was great; I have had it fried and grilled. Fries were okay. Sweet tea was great. Service was great. I'm looking forward to getting back there some time...and I have and had the fish sandwich again and it was just as good as the previous one. Add fried chicken BLT to list of 'to get again'. Grilled chicken salad was very good.
