DoughJ's Chicken & Donuts

We just moved to the area and were looking for a good soul food spot—and we found a great one! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth and the mouthwatering aroma of home-cooked goodness. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making us feel right at home. We ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and the three piece wings and every bite was absolutely delicious. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Everything tasted like it was made with love. The portions were generous, the service was friendly, and it all felt authentically homemade. We’re so glad we found this gem, and now that we’re locals, we’ll definitely be going back often. If you’re in the area and craving real soul food, this place is a must!

Placed an order for 3 dozen donuts for our boys graduation, had a bit of a hiccup when we arrived but the ladies were very understanding and got our order ready ASAP. They were even sweet enough to give my son one of their specialty donuts, he loved it!!! Everyone at our gathering was crazy over the donuts, I know a few families will be making the drive from Ocala to get some this weekend. ???? recommended!!! Thank you ladies!!!!

While exploring Webster Florida we found DoughJ's chicken and donuts. Oh my are these ever huge and delicious donuts. In the summer they are open Thursday through Saturday. Last week we tried their Southern fried Chicken. All chicken is fried to order when you place your order. The only make a certain number of donuts each day and when they're gone they're gone. We enjoyed our donuts outside on a patio under a huge oak tree with hanging Spanish moss.

The donuts are always on point here and the chicken is so good. More important to me, the service is the best. I went in this morning and, while getting my order together, sat and chatted with the owner for a bit about her son, family, other things. It’s just great having good, honest conversations with people even though a business transaction is taking place. We can all use a little more of what it is they’ve got going here at Dough J’s. Finally made it to this very highly recommended place. First, I have to say, the glazed donuts are very fresh and tasty and you must be there before noon in order to have the best choices. For me, the fried chicken was amazing and the corn nuggets , out of this world. Loved them. I wasn’t impressed with the Mac & cheese though. If you are in the area stop by and enjoy a quaint little place with big taste. We will return.
