Crossroads Cafe

Nice decor after the remodel. Food was fresh and the service was fast and delicious. Our waitress Meredith was really nice and friendly. One last thing the menu was big.

We stopped on our way through because of the glowing reviews. They did not disappoint. The food was excellent and the service sweet. The building and chairs are pretty run down, the only negative. We got fish sandwiches and they were cooked perfectly melty and flaky, the breading delicious! Huge portions!! The fries are devine. The salad bar was an excellent add on!

I was genuinely surprised by this gem along the highway. Tucked back off the road is a restaurant that is a time capsule. Wonderful service, the best food I have eaten in a very long time cooked by the owner, and service that harkens to the 70's with genuine kind people that are interested in you. I could have stayed all day reveling in the decor and cleanliness of this jewel. The prices were unbelievably reasonable and I would eat here every day as I assume the locals must as the tables were very full. Good conversations, laughter, and happiness reverberating around this outstanding restaurant.

I have heard this place was great , so I was craving a hamburger horse shoe and thought I would give this place a try and it was a huge disappointment. Their fresh never frozen patties were horrible , I was asked if I minded making my own salad from the salad bar than was informed after not everything on the salad bar came with the salad ???? when walking in a noticed some things wrong that should of threw redflags but I never judge a restaurant by appearance but I'm not even sure how this place still has their doors open. Open electrical boxs on the wall at a level a toddler could easily get to. The ceiling had open electrical boxes, and ceiling tiles were falling. I could go on and on about violations. Where is the health department? This place needs fined and closed till atleast the electrical is fixed!

Food was edible, about average as greasy spoons go. The waitress was very nice and polite. This app asks what l would recommend... the country fried steak was not good was freezer burnt, and the eggs and hash browns were descent.
