Bair's Broadway Diner

Stop on our way while traveling out west across Montana, and this was great! It was a small great little diner attached to the gas station. Many of the people there seemed to be the locals, and servers were really friendly to us non-local guest. Food portions are great. Meals are between $10 to $18 about.

The coffee was good when we finally got it,my toast was so hard it made a klanking noise when i dropped it on my plate and the gravy had great flavor which helped to disguise the burnt sausage patties and over cooked totts. And my husband's omelet was interesting, I totally lost my appetite once he cut into it and I watched slime oozing out. Our waitress was a bit on the snappy rude side when my husband asked how and where to pay.

Great food and staff! Unfortunately they need but can't find people to work so place closes at 4 pm each day due to lack of staff. So they are still open, but you have to be patient as they are stretched to the breaking point.

This restaurant has been a long staple here in Belgrade. Is the food made fresh with fresh ingredients not entirely however the service is friendly, it gives locals/ travelers an affordable place to eat, and at one time it use to be always open.

I got the Shephard's pie, a side salad with ranch dressing, and cottage cheese. I've never had Shepherd's pie before, so I can't compare it to anything, but it was very good. The cottage cheese was fresh and the side salad was pretty good (lettuce, tomato, and croutons). The pie also came with a small piece of garlic bread which was perfect for soaking up the gravy. If I'm ever in this area again, I'll likely stop by here to eat.
