Amigo's & Beer Mexican Grill

I came on a Sunday Oct 2, 2022. There were a few people here but it was not crowded. I did not have to wait to be placed at a booth. This time the nachos were not warm but the salsa was good (but still too 'hot' and sugar did not cut the acid). The sweet tea as always was delicious. I had a wedge of lemon with it. This time I ordered the Quesadilla Rellena with shredded cheese. I ordered a Quesadilla Rellena with chicken shreds. The chicken tasted good. The refried beans were fresh and tasty. The guacamole was real good. The sour cream was fresh. The salad was fresh. I have come to the conclusion that while there may be a slight taste, Mexican rice will always be bland in restaurants. Don't get me wrong, the rice was good and fresh. The waitress was friendly with a smile. 7 months ago: The drive in was strange. I had to turn and turn. I was beginning to think that it didn't exist. But it's hidden away behind another building. When I came in here was a couple ordering takeout but I did not have to wait long to be seated. A woman brought me tacos and salsa while I waited for my sweet tea. The sweet tea was delicious. The salsa was good and the tortillas were warm. As usual I put some sugar to cut the acid but it did not lower the heat.. I ordered a Chicken Fajita. The chicken was cooked but a bit bland. The rice was ok. The guacamole and lettuce was fresh. The pico de gaillo was good. The waiter was nice but not smiling a lot. The servers gave me the impression that to them this was just a job. Wow! They just put on cool music. But it was quiet when I arrived. Now to find a way out of here.

Not a Mexican spot per say, as its more central American. I new it as soon as I saw crema (sour creme) on the beans. I ordered the Fajitas with all 3 (steak, shrimp, chicken)...very tasty. The Pico De Gallo was WAAY to hot. To much jalapeños in the mix. I also ordered the shrimp cocktail. No alot of shrimp in there and more mushy than soupy not like authentic Mexican Mariscos. Staff is cool and young and seemed preoccupied like they didn't want to be there. Bar area was closed to sit down so I didn't try the Micheladas like I wanted cause I ordered my food to go, but I will come and try a Carne asada burrito next time to see if it raises my rating for this place. Jovens, recuerda....being a little more friendly and smiling to the customers no matter who they are will always bring customers back. You never know who will come thru

I was a little unsure about Amigo’s & Beer Mexican Grill but I’m very glad I decided to eat there. As you walk in the atmosphere is very welcoming, the food is delicious and customer service is great. I ordered the ‘Speedy Gonzales’ off the menu, For the price the portion was fairly big!

After leaving KFC with a bad (Chicken) Pot Pie, I went to Amigo's & Beer Mexican Grill. I ordered four (4) tacos with tomatoes, a side of sour cream, and sauce. Each taco was $1.49 so, they charged for a pound of sour cream and chips but cool. The tacos (beef) weren't seasoned well, very disappointing and very bland, not impressed at all. Won't be long here. Go (Taco Bell)!

Great place the food is always really good and the staff is friendly. Chips and salsa are always a great way the start a meal. The horchata is very tasty, definitely recommend it. Food is always fresh and hot. They just moved to this new location that is a lot larger than their old one and its atmosphere is comfortable without being too busy and the extra room helps with how popular they are. The waiter, however, did ask me 5 times how my food was and I did find that a little obnoxious but that was the only thing I had any issue with. If he hadn't asked me more than once with a mouth full of food it wouldn't have been as big of an issue. But overall a wonderful place to stop for a good bite of food.
