Yamato Japanese Steak House

Dined here with a small party. We were seated promptly at our table since we were dining early for dinner. The food was good, flavorful, but just didn't give me that wow factor. Don't misunderstand me here. The food was good, filling, delicious. Maybe I was expecting more. Despite the establishment never getting over 25% capacity, meaning 3 or 4 tables, our server seemed to be rushing us like she needed to turn the table for waiting customers.

Wow. I got suckered. I ordered their calamari, thinking it'd be similar to the picture on their menu showing nearly a plate full but no. I got 5 little strips that look like french fries. First and last time eating here. Never again.

I ordered take out. I ordered 2 Teriyaki Chicken Bento dinners which came with soup and salad and two orders of rolls. No utensils, napkins or dressing for the salads came with the meal. Wasn't even sure what kind of soup was given to us...check your bag before you go!

I ordered a Rainbow Sushi Roll, which should have different kinds of fish on each bite size. There was only 1/2 the amount of fish, therfore I was disappointed. The difference was made with thin avocado slices. Other than that, it was very good, freshly made, and service was speedy.

The most delicious food always! And the sweetest owners! A must stop!
