West Jetty View Park

Lovely walks on the beach, beautiful sunset! I was suprised at how many mussels were washed up on the beach. Those chubby seagulls were not going hungry.

Quiet and clean. Restful. Lots to see... From body surfing to boosters to real Garibaldi by the dozen. Sea lions and fisherman. Fun things everywhere you look

Scenic views of the bay and the ocean. A great place for nighttime views especially of the bay and the homes beyond.

This park is Beautiful and very clean! There is so much to do. From fishing to bike rides through the boardwalk, wave and sunset watching, shell collecting, and more. We walked out on the rocks as far as we could and enjoyed the cool ocean breeze.

Well, it’s on the very end of super busy Balboa Peninsula, with limited options to do. It’s not a calm beach to swim I must say. None of swimmer other than body surfer who were in the water when I was there. The sands are rough mixed loaded with seashells. Dogs are allowed I assume as I saw a few dogs there which one of them left its doody and the owner just buried it with sands with no shame at all. It’s hard to find a parking spot well what would expect, it’s summer. The view is not great either with just a few benches or seatings. I think the area is built for the purpose of giving a sea view of waterfront mansions concept. Not really built for public recreational area. Didn’t see public restrooms either.
