After a long drive to KC, we were hoping to stay in a nice comfortable hotel for the weekend. When we arrived, the front desk attendants were friendly and helpful. The first room they put us in had a funky smell, pee was still in the toilet, and the curtains didn’t close. We instantly called the lobby and they moved us to another room. This room was better; however, the heater in the room was extremely noisy to the point where it interrupted our sleep. Other than that, the room was good. On our second night, we left for the day and hoped to return to a clean room... which we didn’t. The bed was not touched and we didn’t get clean towels. I understand the the hotel is doing some renovating, which is great. However, this should not compromise the cleanliness of the hotel. Based on our two nights here, we will not be returning for a future visit. They need to work on housekeeping and repairing things in the rooms.
The hotel was nice and clean. The staff were very friendly especially the lady in the dinning area for breakfast. I did not catcher her name but she was very friendly and made you feel welcome. The rest of the staff was provided good customer service too. In regards to the room, I feel the bathroom could stand some improvement; it a little on the small side. The sink was slow to drain. Another improvement or change, is to move the microwave away from in front of the bed because the clock light on the microwave is very bright. This caused me some issues with falling asleep. Lastly, the card keys kept demagnetizing, we had to keep going to the service desk and asking to reactivate our card keys.
Bad bad bad. Bed had hair's on the fitted sheets, black looking bugs on pillow cases Freaky activity going on outside. Found out they rent rooms by the month We were located in that area and need less to say we felt uncomfortable. We left immediately and drove home a 4 1/2 hour drive home at midnight Night shift could not do anything to credit my account. Had to call the manager the next day She was rude, claiming that she could not help we need to call the home office. She would not call, this is where she started to be rude and raised her voice when I insisted she call. She told me that it was MY reservation and I had to take care of it myself. We called on Monday and after half a day I finally was reimbursed NEVER AGAIN 0 STARS FROM ME
Going in I was skeptical it was going to be a good stay. Upon arrival the staff were somewhat friendly but a bit distracted. The pictures make the hotel look a lot better. There was flickering lights and some dark stairwells. Our room had a cigarette smoke smell to it which made it difficult to sleep. Our comforter had blood stains on the top of it. The towels were stained and there was a used soap bar still in the shower. Pretty gross. We won't be staying there ever again.
We had booked several Best Western locations for our Road Trip. The three prior to this location were fantastic. We did not read reviews prior to booking and went on brand reputation. Unfortunately that did not hold up. I've submitted 28 reviews on Google: 28 @5 star, 4 @4 star, 2 @3 star and 1 @ 2 star. Typically pretty easy going and I think that shows in prior ratings given. Stayed on the top floor and the stairs were in poor condition. The walkways upstairs were lifted and split. The fridge in our room when opened just smelled horrible. It was removed from the typical cabinet so figure there had been issues. The cabinets were dusty. When we turned down the beds there were crumbs of some kind in the bed. In the morning when I put my foot down in the bathroom I had stepped on something. On lifting a cockroach scattered to the corner. On going through reviews I see lots of responses that we will do better from management. I think it is time that happens. Unfortunately I could not recommend this location in good faith.
