The Orchards Mall

This is a good mall, very clean. I just wish the owners would advertise to the public and try and get small businesses in it, especially with I-94 and St. Joesph being right next to it. I am hoping to visit it soon, but it might be closing, although there are no documents saying they are closing.

Sad and lonely looking parking lots. Saw a lawn service person using a weed trimmer and had ridden over to the work area on an older grass covered mower. No newer paint in the lots to mark rows, cracks and pot holes the norm. Most stores left awhile ago. News stories have talked about unpaid bills. Didn't go in to see if the air conditioning was on. Decades ago this was a great place.

They decorated for XMas with no one but mall walkers to enjoy it.

Lived in BH/SJ all my life and this place is really nasty...

The display sign next to the road says, "We Are Open". The sign on the door says, "We are Open". The lights are on. The door is unlocked. The inside of the mall is completely empty. Not a sole to be seen the 20 minutes I was there. All the stores were locked up and closed. The only thing open was "Discount Furniture" which you can only access from the outside entrance. The owner of discount furniture said the mall was under new ownership that has/is putting in a lot of money to restore the mall and is attempting to bring people back to the mall. I hope he is successful and can revive the mall.
