The Colonial Diner

Classic diner experience, great service and good food!! The service was quick and our waitress was very nice.

Unfortunately, I have tried multiple items and they've fallen short of being edible. I used to be a regular. Having lunch a few times a week. Soup is good. Unfortunately, I've been more than disappointed with the quality of food lately. Today I had a rubbery, dry, inedible chicken on my chicken sandwich. Two bottom buns?! Only enough "chicken" to fill half the bun. Recently, I've had off tasting gravy on the open sandwiches. Gross sausage and biscuit gravy. Subpar salad with more toppings than lettuce. I had to complain when the AC was set to 85 degrees! The only fan was facing the owner at the check out counter. The AC was set to 75 today, but the food ended up in the trash. So sad how things have declined the past few months.

The food is amazing and quickly served. The presentation is great considering it is a local diner. It definitely did not disappoint and the service was phenomenal too. Carmen was our server she anticipated our needs, was a patient with us considering we had a hungry toddler with us. Thank you so much for everything. We will definitely be back.

Great community Diner. Good food fare price great service. We found this place on our way home from a vacation. It was of the beaten trail .but found a diamond in the ruff. Going to stop again if we are in the area!

I've gone to other diners in Middletown (I'm from Queens but work out here) and this place by far excels in flavor, service and everything in between. The diner has a lovely atmosphere where they make everyone feel like family. The food is delicious and NEVER disappoints. Unlike that nasty diner on 211 that served me undercooked sausage. This place never misses. I'm a huge fan of their chicken scampi, breakfast platters and cheese burgers. The utensils are always clean and shiny. And the staff are just the kindest. Especially Carmen, she's so joyful and kind as is the rest of the staff. Highly recommend!!
