Tacos La Paloma

We got take out. I didn't know we had such great authentic food nearby, this will definitely be dangerous for my waistline. The prices are very reasonable. The service was very quick. I didn't wait very long to put my order in, in fact the cashier was waiting for me to make up my mind. Now let me get to the good part... The food. You betcha buddy! It was damn good!!! I haven't found better tacos or tamales out of the inner city, of downtown Mpls and St Paul. This place is definitely a must stop!

Based on all the great reviews, I was excited to try this place. Wow what a disappointment! This was authentic street style Mexican food but it was no good. We tried all the different meats in our tacos and they were all very dry, bland, lacking taste or flavor. The chorizo was really bad to the point we couldn’t eat it. In addition to bad quality food, the service was extremely poor. They took our order and brought it to our table without a spoken word to us from start to finish. Not even a thank you, and we tipped them at the order counter too. To those who give this place high ratings, I urge you to try some of the other local small local authentic places in MPLS and St Paul. I’ve been to several Mexican food trucks that were far superior to this place.

Excellent place to try real “Mexican street tacos”. Barbacoa tacos are the best!! I tried few places around the Twincities, and was a bit uncertain when I walked in at first, but after the first bite. I was sold! Excellent!! I could eat them all day long!

It's kind of a hole in the wall type of joint, but the tacos were very authentic! Simple, but excellent flavor! I had two of the Al Pastor Taco's (pork), which I highly recommend! I also had one Lengua Taco (beef tongue). It was my first lengua taco, but won't be my last either. I also got a plate of rice and beans, which is mandatory in my opinion. It was all great, and again I highly recommend this place!

Finally a great place in the burbs with authentic street tacos and other hispanic foods, this is an awesome hidden gem!
