Sparky's Cafe

This was our first visit. I know people love this place but it just didn't work out for us. We got there around 7:30 on a Saturday morning. The place was half full already. There was only 1 waitress and 1 cook until 8:00 when about 5 other employees finally showed up. Our waitress was doing her best and was very apologetic but only 2 people servicing the whole restaurant made every thing really suffer. Food was very greasy and had no flavor. Portion sizes were fine and price was reasonable but we were there for an hour which is very long especially for mediocre food. Staggering when the staff come in would surely have helped with how smooth things could have run. You seat yourself at an open table. Inside is pretty small though clean. There are plenty of parking options around. I don't think we'll be back though.

The food was pretty good, and the atmosphere was what you expect a small town cafe to be like. Service was good too. We went on a Saturday morning so it was pretty busy there. We spent about $20 per person, which is pretty on par for the area. The food was less greasy than Perkins.

We were looking for an all day breakfast place and we were very fortunate to find Sparky's! Our server, Burdette, was amazing. She, and the other newer server, kept my coffee full and even offered one to go! (A good sign a place is keeping a good watch on their customers). It's a little tight in there but there is a charm to a small cafe vibe like this. It was quite busy and you will need to seat yourself but it's very worth it! The wait for service was not bad and not bad for food either. The food was very good overall and cooked well. Be warned! The large pancake is REALLY large ????! Enjoy!
