My car broke down on the way to Tampa, while I'm fixing my car, my dad and wife went to eat at this location and then she brought the food with her once i got my car fixed. I ate the food at Tamp hotel, and it was amazing! So i went back to eat at the same place when i came back home and i love it.
Stopped by for lunch today and they took my order right away after I walked in the door. The restaurant is a little bit out of dated but completely spotless and obviously clean on a vigorous schedule. Found the bathroom to be also clean and tidy. Food was delicious as always. My favorite is the green hot sauce and for a few weeks there it seemed like they had changed the recipe. But it's back to the same old yummy flavor with plenty of spice.
2pm on a Saturday and all the tables were occupied except one. I sat and after studying the menu for an extended time, one of the young ladies came by and apologized for my wait. "Can I get your drink order?" She went and pulled a beer from the cooler and I had enough time to drink half of it before another young lady took my food order. Not exactly speedy service. The burrito was good. Nicely filled but the fillings were all layered. One bite of salsa. Next bite of sour cream and lettuce. Next bite of chicken. It was all tasty but this method of filling the "King Burrito" meant that there was no melding of flavors.
Good taste, we liked the food and fresh water
I feel bad leaving this review, but no worse than I felt last night when my dinner decided to quickly leave my body. I just got a simple Asada burrito, rice, beans, chips, salsa, and queso. The burrito came with a red and a green sauce. I ate everything, and at the time it all tasted great. The red sauce had a roasted pepper flavor, which was nice. After a few hours my stomach started feeling really weird. I tried going to sleep but kept getting hot flashes. I tried some pepto, it didn't help. At around 3:00 am I got that 2-min warning that my stomach was done trying to process the food and ejected it. If I had to place blame, it was the red sauce. Everything else on my plate was super hot, which ideally killed off any bacteria, except for those two sauces that my burrito came with. I've eaten there once before and had a pleasant experience and managed to keep everything down, but not this time. Not trying to be inflammatory, but perhaps some better care is required for the non-heated additions to the meals, like the sauces.
