Murphy's Oyster Bar

Picked this place because it was next to the hotel but wow am i ever glad i did. Friendly staff and the food was amazing. Got the seafood platter with Maine lobster, crab legs, mussels, shrimp, and crawdads. Had a delicious tomato/garlic sauce all over it. I’m def coming back when I’m in the area. Great job Murphy’s!

I was told by the server the only fresh seafood is oysters. I got the steamers, and oysters. The steamers came out and immediately knew they were previously frozen. I still ate them and it was pretty good. The oysters were nasty looking so I sent it back without any issues. The owner was very polite and professional. The steamers still previously frozen was awesome ????.

This outing was an awesome experience for me and my sister-friends reuniting after 40+ years. The service was above and beyond as Josie (our server) was the bartender, the photographer, the DJ, and the waitress, all with a smile. The atmosphere was accommodating and clean, with sports screens and great music. The food was good, I took half of a star for the mini-crabcake appetizers that I didn't care for, which was removed from the table and the bill w/o an issue. The visit was perfect ????

Stopped by for a late meal with Saundra my love. Impressed with the neighbors steak and lobster. She had the chowder, and I got fries, fried okra, and gator bites. Every dish tasted like it should; delicious. Loved Alexis, the young lady who served us at the bar. Music was great, football on tv. And, the other patrons were all nice and enjoyed the time. Good management here. Also, the bathrooms and everything was very clean. Thank you, we will return.

We were looking for a restaurant that was different from a chain, and we found Murphy's oyster bar. It's a small place with a friendly staff and cool atmosphere. They have a bunch of TVs and every seat in the house has a good view of at least one of them. Most of the food is fried and what we had tasted good. The macaroni and cheese wedges and garlic bread were two of our favorite things.
