Streamliner Family Restaurant

I had the Rueben sandwich with a side salad, it was fantastic. My son had the freshwater catfish, wedges, slaw and a roll. It was good but he didn’t care for the breading on the catfish, it was very dry and powdery.

Mom and Pop diner with good food. Slaw felt premade and I "splurged" for the buffalo burger and was kind of disappointed. Thin and cooked well done, which is not how I like my burger, but in their defense, I didn't ask if I could choose how the burger was cooked. Baked potato was good. I didn't get any extras, but the meal was filling and I'm leaving satisfied. Attentive waitress who checked several things for me as I ordered.

Food was okay. Fish was a notch above fast food. Cole slaw was from a can. Patty melt was very good. Excellent service. Relaxing decor. Friendly

Nice inside setting And I tried with this place. 1st time, (few months ago) we went on a weekend evening, and it was a an alright experience. Relaxed wait staff. Clean. Food was decent enough. I ordered their prime rib dinner and mashed potatoes. 2nd time: We went on a weekday at dinner time. There were 2 other groups eating in, and we waited to be seated for about 3 minutes (fiancee had time to use restroom and come back and still waited). Thought it was odd. The wait staff was not as attentive (lots of talking) during the duration of the dine in. They were friendly when interacting though. We waited a while for the appetizer, (spanish spud, broccoli n cheese) but then there was a short amount of time between the appetizer and main entree. (New people, I was patient. I get it) The waitress was new (I hope) because she didn't ask how I wanted my prime rib cooked, did not ask me what dressing I wanted on my salad, and was not knowledgeable on the approved potatoes as a side. (No biggie. Didn't mind because I get it, but slowly red flags were raised) Dinner: Prime was cooked well when I ordered meduim rare. I took a bite anyways. Had flavor, but way too chewy for my TMJ to tolerate. I took two bites of mashed potatoes and they were good. Peppery aftertaste (not complaining, but not my preference). Salad was lettuces with a few tomatoes and dressing. That was all. By the time she came back to check how our food was, I was full enough on the appetizer. I think me staring at them was what prompted them to check. I told the waitress about the well meat instead of med-rare. I mentioned my TMJ and how I cannot chew this. It was flavorful, but I couldn't. She offered to have them remake it, but I didn't want it. Lost myappetite. (My fiancee was halfway done eating, we needed to get back to the kids, like time was of the essence). She went back to ask about a refund and I heard a chick yelling in the back. She came back and told me they cannot refund it or they will be in trouble. Well, I was not going to waste almost 25 dollars and by that time I was becoming annoyed, so they took it back and tried again. This time, it came out more medium than medium rare. The good part is that she stayed to see if it was ok. I took one bite and was ok for the fact that it was tolerable to chew for my jaw, but not as flavor as the first. I didnt actually want it though. She left before I realized other things were cold. They brought it back on the same plate, but by then the potatoes and aju were cold. While the waitress was at our table, my man informed her that his fried chicken was cold on the inside, but fully cooked. She offered to reheat it, but let it go because it wasn't worth it. I finished the salad, but not the meal because I was utterly disappointed and not hungry anymore. Took it to go and my fiancee ate it for work lunch. When we went to pay, another woman asked how the remade food was (with a smirk on her face) and I nicely let her know I was disappointed because I didn't want it and I felt forced to spend 25 on something I didnt want. She just said, oh, I'm sorry. Then it was quiet until I finished paying and we left. I still tipped the waitress because she tried. They just lost potential regulars who have a big family. The staff was very friendly. While looking at the menu I kept thinking that the prices were very high, but after getting my giant plate of nachos I changed my mind! I got the meat and cheese nacho and it was amazing and absolutely massive lol my husband got the steak burger which he said was extremely tender and tasted like it was the best cut of meat. I'm not from the area but if I pass by here again I will 100% make a stop here!
