Stenger Farm Park

Stenger's Farm has been a wonderful open space in the center of Waterford for we'll over fifty year. As kids, it was a play area where you could fish, ride bikes, play ball, etc. Fortunately, it remains an open space with trails for hiking. There's also a dog park to let your dog play. It's great in this day if development that they left this area alone for people to enjoy.

Awesome park. The dog park looked well maintained and our dog had a great time. The trails are really nice, and the main paths were snowplowed, which is quite the surprise. Beautiful lake in the middle as well. Path was well used so I imagine this park can get busy, but luckily there is a trashcan on the main loop.

Large open space for large dogs to run free! No issues so far. Clean for a dog park.

I was going to this park daily for the past 9 months up until recently for a gentleman has a vicious pitbull that can't be around other dogs. He decides to bring his dog into the small dog side. He has been asked by many of the community members if you would not bring his dog around smaller dogs. His response is always the dogs need to learn somehow one way or another. Personally I have had words with this man and it's not worth catching a charge over ignorance.

Nice, clean, trails with a very large park so you don't have to be worried about social distancing yourself from others. There was no liter, and trash bins stationed throughout the park so you didn't have to hold on to any garbage. There were picnic tables, so if you wanted you could enjoy a nice lunch next to Stenger's beautiful pond.
