Stan’s “que” BBQ

He cooks like a pro that bbq. He opens late afternoon, but you can smell his bbq since very early, smoking the meet. The taste is incredible. Love the place. I stop by while visiting Yosemite for two days and this was my favorite place.

Best BBQ!! Live near Modesto, CA and we drive all the way up the hill just to have Stan's Que. Amazing, so soft and flavorful. It's truly the best. He has some homemade sides as well that are so good.

Stan is a character. Don't know where he's from, but he exudes southern 'take it slow and easy' pace. The food is handled carefuly and lovingly. The ribs are amazing, the sauce is great. The beans are excellent, as is the potato salad. The bread disappointed as I was expecting a customary cornbread - it was a grocery store grade roll, instead. Just Good enough to sop up all the sauce and crumbs. Overall, Definitely recommend and would gladly come back

Super chill vibes that only Stan provides! Don’t let the diy decor detract you from a fantastic home-cooked meal, let the food speak for itself. The smoky ribs are incredible, chewy with crisp edges, and complimented by the sweet, vinegary bbq sauce. A side of beans, roll and potato salad were filler but rounded everything out nicely. My friend had the pulled pork sandwich and loved it.

When you are tired of burgers or pizzas and the wait across the street is 55 minutes long, the ribs here will fill you up. Though I would suggest you take it to go but if you dine here, expect a picnic outdoor setting. This is entirely a one man show, a makeshift of sorts to feed those who are hungry after all the hike and driving and find Groveland lacking of alternatives other than pub and beer. On weekends, only ribs, beans and bread ???? But I must warn you, if there’s a wait, it’s probably because there’s only one of him doing all the bbq’ing. No alcohol either, just bottled water. There’s more table at the back past the stand-alone restroom. Sure it’s crude but it does fill your belly and help one’s business.
