The Atmosphere is great. I love the vibe in here. We ordered potato skins for an appetizer. But what we got was a sliced of potato with some toppings. It was pretty tasty even though not what we expected. I had the Ruben which was delicious and the server understood the carrots. They were on point. My boyfriend had the surf and turf, which was described as having bacon wrapped shrimp skewer, but was in fact shrimp with imitation bacon bits. The steak was pretty tasty and cooked perfect. We expected creamy Mac n cheese but got yesterday's dried out reheats. I would definitely go back and give them another try. Looks like they need to practice a little consistency and maybe make sure the menu items are served as described to eliminate a let down of expectations. The service was great. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful. We will return for a second try
Would I return? Yes We were not promptly greeted, nor was a sign visible to let us know to seat ourselves or to wait for seating. We sat for a few moments before our server approached to greet us. Once greeted, our service was promptly and timely! The atmosphere is very nice! It offers a bit of a trendy, yet rustic feeling, cozy. Additionally, seating allows for a spot at the bar or tucked away inside or near large window ls for a view to the square. Our food was served timely and hot and well-presented. Shown is the Reuben & beef nachos. Ask for the sweet potato fries that are not on the menu #thumbs up
Probably the best BLT I've ever had at a restaurant. Garden fresh tomatoes with a ton of smokey bacon and cheese. So good. But oh my the baked potato salad is so yummy. We've ate here 2 times. Our second visit was better than the first. They said they had a new cook this time and it showed. Not that the first visit was bad but the second visits food was top notch. Definitely go check them out. They are new and we're lucky to have them. Also the wait staff are very friendly at least our waiter was. He had a boot on his foot from an injury and he didn't let it stop him. That's impressive!
Another one of my restaurant reviews! Thanks for so many views on my other reviews as well. Today I tried the new Spring Street Bar and Grill new to the Neosho Square. The atmosphere of this place is really cool. A very old building for sure with great old advertisements on the walls over the brick really makes the scenery special. Stopping at that point we have to get down to the food and service part of the review, which did not go well. The menu is very easy to read and had information in it that was informative. No food photos, but the description of the food was adequate. The variety of food on the menu was ok. It was a bar, so I was not expecting too much. I look forward to coming in one evening in the future and trying their steak choices. They had an interesting twist on the menu of a mystery order for around $10 if you did not know what you wanted. The waitress or waiter would order something for you that was “savory” according to the menu. That sounds like fun, but I am a little picky about some things...ha-ha. I was visiting Spring Street with my Mother and a friend. When our waitress arrived, it was clear that she was not very skilled or knowledgeable about where she worked. I asked her what beers were on tap. She had no idea. I asked her what the special was today (on the menu it said, “Ask about our Special of the Day.”) but she had no idea what it was, nor did she care to go back and check. I paused for a moment waiting for her to say, “You know, let me go check and see and I will let you know.” She didn’t. An appetizer was ordered of fried onion rings. A plate came out very small (shown in the photos). These were cold and very greasy. A cup of ranch dressing was included with them. The dressing tasted as it was very watered down or water was added to dilute it. A bonus was a regular potato fry and a sweet potato fry was contaminating the bottom. Unfortunately they were cold and limp as well. A funny thing was a second plate appeared and the waitress said, “These were made my mistake if you want them.” We all passed. About 25 minutes passed until our order arrived. I ordered a Ruben Sandwich with a loaded bake potato. Many baked potatoes I have had have green onions, cheese, sour cream, butter, and of course bacon. This one appeared to be old or overcooked with the potato brown inside. The sour cream was in a cup. In the potato was cheese and bacon. At least they did not leave out the bacon! I gotta have my bacon LOL. The Ruben had somewhat of a sour smell to it. The meant was very thinly sliced and appeared to have the same look of a sliced corned beef you can get off the counter at a grocery store prepackaged. The sandwich had sat on the plate for so long that the bottom slice of bread was soaked and soggy. The sandwich taste was ok, it was not the best Ruben I have ever had. Final thoughts: I will give this place a great score for the atmosphere. Something MUST be done about the kitchen and wait help. Quality control out the kitchen is very poor. Taste is in need of some improvement. Wait help should have a clear knowledge EVERY DAY of a special and what drinks are available. This is a bar, where is the bar / beer menu?? 2 stars for the great atmosphere...food and service is not great. Sorry Spring Street, you have a lot of improvement needed before I could return. Neosho is in desperate need for a good place to eat. I hope improvements are made…SOON.
This place has great vibes. The bar is up stairs and has an speak easy feel to it. For those who what I mean. Great live bands that is free to see on a Friday night. Plus the food is good ????
