UPDATE: I inhaled it and sucked on the gd bones???????????? This was my first experience. Im eating as I type i just couldn't wait to tell everyone how good this food is!! Every bite. Falling off the bone. I work in Douglasville but I'd travel here on my lunch break any day???? The staff was so friendly and welcoming. I was in and out in under 5 minutes! 100000/10

Okay I hardly ever write a review for a restaurant, but this review is needed to make things better not really to criticize. I ordered some backed chicken, and it was extremely dry and cooked a bit too long. Please change the cheese for the Mac it was too watery and very salty. Now the 2 spoon of vegetables was a bit shocking. The cornbread muffin was a bit hard. My husband had the pork chops and they were cooked to long as well. Now the service was great. I love supporting black owned businesses, but I really think this place could do much better if they change a few minors with the food. Prices are okay and reasonable. However, hopefully things get better.

For the last two times the limas and the collards have been way over salted. I put in trash. Usually the food is terrific. Think maybe they should taste what they are serving. I will be back just hope it gets better. This review is not to hurt them but to help them.

This is a dual review. First off, always A++ food. Been there lots over the years and it’s always good. More importantly my review of the lady that reviewed in my photo. A+ performance. I was there. She portrayed an attentioned-starved entitled no class rude customer like she was one! Bravo! Her hard work acting has paid off. Adding in the detail of not reading the menu enough to know she was ordering something more expensive and demanding a discount was a stroke of genius! Then coming back into the store and demanding a refund. Talking to the staff like that, amazing commitment. My gosh! Bravo! Bravo! Someone hire this actor.

I brought food to-go to enjoy with my mom. When you walk in, you’re welcomed with a smile. The food looks delicious and between the two of us, we ordered fried chicken, fried catfish, mac and cheese, green beans, peas, and cabbage. Mom loved that her chicken tasted marinated/brined and explained the flavor is in the skin and the meat. My fish was done very well and everything tasted fantastic. We didn’t order drinks, but there were several choices available. I’ll let my other family members know to eat here!
