We got to sit in a private booth without our shoes. The sushi was fresh and they had a huge number of speciality rolls. You don't always see it, but they had told with fresh fruit and fish. If you haven't tried a fruit/fish combo you should! It works surprisingly well! As always the hubs ordered too much and the sushi held up nicely for the next day
The ambiance of this place is really well done. There are traditional rooms or the open area seating. The food was okay but I don't think I would be a repeat customer. I happen to have passed by. I bought the hibachi steak and while flavorful and a good portion, it did not have the wow factor. Maybe they are known for other dishes.
Went for our friend's birthday. So amazing, even the owner did Sake Bombs with us! Will never forget.
Small place with soft booths, cozy private rooms, ambient lighting, and great rolls. The beef negimaki in particular is incredible. Pictured: double ebi & rubics cube.
I used to eat here once a week when Joey owned the restaurant, she was extremely friendly knew everyone that came into dine and very generous while you waited for your food by giving you some saki. I really enjoyed eating here. Then out of no where she sold the place and the service went down, no more free saki while you wait, the staff didn’t greet you when you came in and somewhat unpleasant when ordering food. I wont dine here again as I am not getting the same great service I was getting when Joey was there. The only reason why I gave it 2 stars is because the food is still pretty good but service is awful. I see the new owner raised the prices. I now dine at Anzai Sushi in East Meadow and the food is just as good and service is above average.
