Ranchero Mexican Restaurant

I rate this restaurant a little below average. Our food was hot when the server brought it to the table and the service was good but a little slow. That was okay considering they have a sign explaining they are short-staffed. However, the meat (shredded chicken and beef) was very bland, and the food did not have much flavor to it. They also charge for a refill on chips which they did not tell us about beforehand. Overall, it was too expensive for the quality of the food.

The food was amazing! The sign out front advised they were short on staff and only one person was taking care of the entire dining room. And the service was still excellent! Awesome food, Awesome service, totally fair price! Highly recommend.

Ranchero is our favorite Mexican restaurant (and now also for our out-of-town friends). I can't believe we are lucky enough to have them in town, especially over so many years. I echo "Lara's" comments. They make the best Chili Rellenos around in my opinion (they even have a beef relleno, which is a rare commodity). Sure, they are shorthanded, and they let you know; however, we have NEVER felt rushed or neglected. Always a smile, always follow up, always consistent good food! This town is tough on restaurants - so negatively critical, and this is a good one! I would not entertain a cranky review IF I were to read one. We tried it on our own and never looked back.
