Poseidon Sushi & Hibachi

I have been here with my wife, my son, by myself and with the whole family. Several times now since we moved into the area. This visit I was there by myself for lunch. This day I had the Squidlington and Philadelphia rolls in addition to the Albacore tuna sashimi. At the end I had a really nice treat which is included in the pictures with the flower. Wish I could remember the name. The Squidlington is a calamari with a bit of spicy to it. It has a great combination of flavors and it was cooked to perfection. It rates a solid 10. The Philadelphia roll is just a standard roll, smoke salmon I believe with cream cheese. Very fresh and has very good flavor. Solid 8+. The Albacore tuna sashimi I would say is the fish equivalent to a filet mignon in texture. While I did enjoy it, I believe it is a preference thing regarding the texture. I would say it reminded me of a very lighted seared ahi tuna in presentation. In good conscience I am not going to rate it this first time trying it. It was very fresh (arrived that morning), smelled good, but not my thing this time around. However, the homemade soy sauce they had it paired with was very good indeed. I had a Sapporo on tap and it was very cold and set well. 10 for that also. The last item with the flower on the plate was on the house. Something like a bombastic for one of them and then the other had a bit of a smokey flavored to it. Both were very tasty as well. Fun flavors and a nice little treat. Both of them are a high 9+. The two gentlemen behind the sushi bar are pros. The best attitudes, great service, genuinely pay attention to their customers that sit at the sushi bar and they want feedback. They have the big town flair and expertise but with a small town, friendly demeanor. The guys are both class acts!!! 10 all around.

The food was presented very well. However the flavors were not rich like they should be. Egg Drop Soup is bland more like water with very little flavor. The jalapeno poppers were a good appetizer spicy depending on the individual jalapeno. My entree was a disappointment It was supposed to be jalapeno chicken. I guess you could call it Jalapeno Chicken. It was cubed chicken with an abundance of black pepper, stir fried with too many onions. No type of sauce could be seen or tasted very dry entree do not recommend this. Also ordered Shaggy Dog roll this was very good. I say give this place a try. There seems to be about 50% taste and quality of the food so chances are you will find something you will like.

We have been there twice. Both times great food, awesome service. Not expensive. One plate is really enough for 2 people. We had an entree, sushi rolled and 2 appetizers. 37.00. I'm telling you. Great Awesome place to eat.

New place in town doing a soft open. Nice design, lots of seating including at the sushi and hibachi bars, also a full drinks bar. Good large size menu with many options. The server was kind and friendly with good suggestions. I wish the ramen options were available but overall a great experience.

We decided to try Poseidon for lunch. We were seated immediately by the nice hostess in front. The decor is nice and it is clean. Our server Ashlee was fantastic!! She completely went above and beyond and took care of us the whole time, she is the reason for not less stars. We tried the lunch special of 3 rolls for $15. Would not order this again as the rolls were very bland and disappointing. The fried gyoza was good as well as the chicken skewers. We ordered the Mexican roll which was pretty good it had nice flavor. We also ordered the Atlantis and treasure island, both were ok. The presentation was very nice but they lacked flavor. If you go for lunch… I don’t recommend the lunch rolls.
