Great overlook, well worth the adventure out on this snowy and windy day. The trail on a good day, from what I read, is hard to find. But I was up for the challenge despite the snow. So, I will try to give ya'll a good description as to how to find it. Park at the boat launch parking lot and take the C&O trail heading towards the bride. Once under the bridge, cross over the railroad tracks. Stay to the left and follow the trees and rocks up the side of the hill. In the snow it took about 10 minutes, it's little steep but not too bad. Definitely recommend bringing hiking sticks if you plan on coming out in the snow. There were some slick spots. I've posted videos to help show the path up as well.
Great views from the overlook. The hike is short and steep at the beginning. Starts from C&O Canal Towpath under route 15 bridge walk across the canal and railway
I've driven over the bridge so many times, finally stopped to go see it in person. Worth it. Great views and a good hike up the trail.
It’s a very flat walk. Great for taking a bike or walking with friends or family. Easy to find.
Truly such a Lovely and relaxing place
