This bakery is one of big bear’s jewels, top tier quality ingredients, made with love and dedication, their pies are one of the best pies I’ve had, always fresh, always delicious, buttery flaky crust, seasonal sweet fruits, their granola is excellent and of course their decor is su adorable. Be sure to be there early as they close as soon as they sell out and if you go the same day I go and I get there before you do… you might go home empty handed ???? be patient as it’s owned and operated by a 2 people staff (an adorable marriage) and make sure you find a good spot by the lake to eat your lovely pie.

We stopped by this pricey pie shop expecting great things, but unfortunately, the taste didn't quite live up to the hype. The crust, in particular, was a letdown - it wasn't flaky as expected. We ordered a few savory and slice sweet pies, and here's how they fared: *Savory Pies:* - Season Beef Pot Pie: "WHERE'S THE BEEF?" ???? The filling tasted fatty, despite being loaded with veggies and pasta. The rich, sweet, and salty flavor was overpowered by the oily crust - 0/10 - Famous Chicken Pot Pie: After trying the Season Beef Pot Pie, we didn't want to try the chicken pie (giving our hearts a break from all the fatty food we'd consumed). Our Friend review: Plenty of chicken meat, but too salty, crust oily and not flaky, he cannot pass a second bite 0/10 ***Note that the savory pies ($18 each) came frozen and required a 90-minute bake time*** *Sweet Pies: $7 each slice - *True Love:* Well-balanced sweet and tart flavors (6/10), but lacking in filling and the crust could be improved. - *Ultimate Cherry:* Sweeter than tart (5/10), with insufficient filling and a subpar crust. The flavor was also a bit off. - *Black Berry Apple:* Overpoweringly sweet (5/10), with a disappointing crust and significant flavor issues. Given the shop's high prices, we expected more in terms of quality and taste. On the service side, the staff was friendly, but the atmosphere felt a bit unwelcoming at first. The ordering process was slow, despite a straightforward menu and minimal options. Improving the store's layout and service could enhance the customer experience. *Final Note:* Always double-check your receipt to ensure accuracy in your order and charges.

Have you ever had a chicken pot pie that cost $18? We hadn't either, until this past weekend. How on earth can a chicken pot pie be $18, you ask? Well - it's pure magic. There is no other way to describe it. It's rich, full of flavor; chicken chunks, shredded carrots, peas, potato, all in a crust that tastes a bit like holiday dressing (stuffing, if you prefer.) There are herbs and seasonings and a creaminess that just create this magic delight of a meal. Actual quotes from my family as we ate our pies: "I..jeez...I wasn't sure how a pot pie could cost $18 but now I see why!" "This is worth EVERY PENNY!" "How did they manage to make the peas taste so fresh?" "This crust is exquisite...you can taste and see the love." You need to order these in advance. On the day of your pick-up, be prepared to stand in a line. I waited 45 minutes to pick up my order. This is not a complaint. This is evidence of how magical this pie shop is. The pot pies come frozen, with instructions on how to cook them. Keep them frozen, do not defrost. They go straight from the freezer to the oven. They're really tall, so perhaps lower an oven rack so the tops don't get burnt. There are two employees here, the most delightful couple on the mountain. It's a slow food place. Everything is made fresh, with love, with care and considerations. You will wait in line because there are only two employees (the owners.) You will wait in line with other pie fans because everyone knows how amazing this place is. You will wait in line and be happy about it, because at the end of the line is your PIE. Also - in past years, we've ordered large quantities of dessert pies for a memorial service (very well received by the guests) as well as the occasional whole pie or slices for our own enjoyment. Sweet or savory, you cannot go wrong. Pictured: our pot pies before baking and the line waiting for pie pickups

The best pie I have ever eaten in my life! I got there right at 10:30 AM when they opened and there was already a line to get in. They have one cashier in the front taking everyone’s orders and a lot of people pre-order because they sell out so quickly. I waited for half an hour, but it was so worth it. I got a slice of the apple white peach pie and it was out of this world! Flaky delicious crust with wonderful tasting crumbles on top and the fruit are nice big chunks and very very fresh. Will definitely be back here!

I have been trying to get some pies from this place ever since I saw this along Big Bear Blvd. 4 years ago! Every time my family and I go, it’s either closed on the day or it’s after their business hours. Finally, yesterday, we got pies!! And truly, the pies did not disappoint! We got strawberry-rhubarb, lemon pie, mixed berry, and, Dutch apple. Hands down, the family favorite is the lemon pie!! Next time we go (probably next summer) we will definitely get some lemon pie! And maybe try new flavors! Hopefully, by then the place will be able to have done in options.
