Moon River Thai Bistro

I love this place! All around 5 stars for me. I actually believed I didn’t like Thai food until tonight. This was the best food I’ve had in months eating out. The atmosphere was calm, relaxing feels, and beautiful. The food was perfect! Delicious! We had the salad and the dressing alone would make me return. My husband and I both ordered crispy roles and veggie curry. It was incredible! They came w a side of rice that was flavorful without added sauces. The food came out steaming hot. Last but not least, the service was the best. What the restaurant world is missing. We were greeted immediately, we didn’t feel rushed to order, and our server explained the menu since it was our first time trying Thai. Very kind and patient. I look forward to making this a go to spot.

Nice quiet place, to have dinner, very good atmosphere, and the decor was upscale with amazingly good prices. I recommend the paper steak, ginger salmon, and their spicy noodle dish. The Thai fried.rice was pretty good too.

I’m here in Virginia to visit my family for a week and kinda craved Thai food. I found this restaurant on google maps and wanted to try. When I drove there I couldn’t find the restaurant because they don’t have a noticeable sign outside (just small one) so I missed it at first but it’s close to the theater. The food was so delicious. The taste was like real Thai food from Thailand. The staff was so nice and friendly (not sure if she is the owner) just make sure you check the hours before go there because they close after lunch and open again for dinner. 11:30- 2:30 pm and then 5 - 9 pm on weekdays.

Moon River Thai Bistro is truly one of my favorite restaurants in the area (I highly recommend the yellow curry with vegetables). During a recent visit, I was pleasantly surprised to find out it's under new ownership. The new owner and the entire staff are incredibly kind and polite, making sure every customer has a delightful experience. The food is palatable, bursting with an abundance of flavor. The new owner's dedication to providing an exceptional dining experience is truly commendable. The ambiance is warm, and welcoming, and has a quaint and intimate feel. It adds to the overall charm of the place, making it a perfect spot for a cozy meal. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Thai cuisine and a fantastic dining experience. Kudos to the new owner and the team for their outstanding service!

Me being half Thai, I’m excited to say that this place is the most authentic I’ve tried. I will keep coming back! On the outside it doesn’t look like much but once you’re in, it feels classy almost. Service is great too.
