Mayflower Seafood Restaurant

Tonight was the first time in a long time eating out and everything was Spot On! Great Food and lots of it too ! Service couldn’t have been better we definitely had the Best Waitress in the house thank you for our eating out pleasure tonight! Will make the drive next time we eat out

My friend and I were there yesterday. I ordered the 3 piece large combo. It was very good. We asked about a side salad instead of coleslaw an she said we could substitute it. When we paid our bill we asked about the additional charge and the hostess said was because we got a salad instead of coleslaw. I told her that the waitress said it was fine to substitute and did not say there was an additional charge. She said oh well she’s new. I said I think you need to instruct your way to waiters and waitresses that they need to tell customers that there’s an up charge if you get a salad. I also do not like the additional charge that you put on the entire ticket because I used a debit card. Debit cards are paid directly from my bank the minute you put the transaction in it’s not like a credit card where you have to wait and you get charged a fee because of it when I ask about that she pointed to a very very tiny sign that explained about the charge if you use a credit card. I come there with my family often and there’s usually at least 4 to 6 of us there. Although the food is good I think this kind of ruined my experience and I’m not really sure I want to come back again.

I'm sorry but the food is very bland. The waiter we had only came to our table twice after we order. Then I had to wait for 15 minutes for my white fish to come out after I had already started to eat. Wanted cold water but gave me warm water with no ice. The place was very calm and enjoy the environment. I would have left a tip but the service was medeacore and I just couldn't enjoy the food. I still have half of my plate left in the refrigerator. Sorry but we won't be coming back. Back in the days they really had something but they lost it.

It was a wonderful dining experience. It had been quite some time since I'd been to a Mayflower restaurant. It was as I remembered. Same decor and all. But most of all the food and service was great. Our group of four all enjoyed our meals. Every thing arrived to the table fresh and hot from the kitchen in a timely manner. Our waitress was absolutely one of the best I've experienced anywhere. She was attentive and didn't miss a beat. Before we could ask, she was there. The next time Im in the area, I'll ndefinitely consider another visit.

The food is great especially the white fish and fried oysters! But let’s talk about the service because that’s what a lot of places are lacking in. The young man working the takeout counter on the side is what keeps me coming back most of all instead of going to the other seafood places. He is so kind, friendly, and respectful. I can tell he takes pride in his work. All the condiments are bagged, nothing is forgotten. I even noticed no matter how busy, he managed to hand his coworker a pen before she had to ask …when she was answering the phone. Everyone is very good at their jobs but it’s this particular young man I notice who always goes above and behind. It’s nice to see that.
