Mama's Restaurant

Mama’s Restaurant is located just a short drive off of 701 in North Carolina-just before the SC state line. 701 is a main road to the very busy Myrtle Beach area, and I encourage travelers to get off the highway and check out this little town of Tabor City. Stepping into Mama’s is like going back in time. So, no, it’s not modern in any way, but that makes it cool. It was clean and everyone was very friendly, and the food was great and super reasonably priced. It’s a great meal to enjoy before you get to the expensive Beach. Note they are only open Tuesday through Saturday 4 AM to 11 AM so I’m talking breakfast! Lol

Loved it here. People were so friendly. The food was good. Definitely would stop agian.

The name describes it all. It's like going to Mama's to eat. Always the best. Ate there lots of time for breakfast and it doesn't get any better unless you go to your mamas house for breakfast. Always friendly, and order is ALWAYS RITE! Grits are the creamiest you will ever have.

First and last time going. Waited over 20 minutes for drinks. Waitress was terrible. Food was bland and under cooked.
