Mabel's Pizza Shop

Picked up a pizza with Italian sausage on my way back on a rainy evening and I have to admit it was one of the best pizzas I have had. The sauce on the pizza was very flavorful and it was nice and hot just out of the oven. The pricing for a large pizza was very reasonable as well. They also have a world map and a map of USA on the wall where they used to put the location of all the visitors they have had and it was really full. Would definitely recommend it.

OMG. I read the reviews, and we had to try it. It's definitely a good experience!! This was my one meal request during our weekend "vacation" to Elk Country." So glad I insisted! We got "8 cuts" and had more than enough for the two of us. Quick and very inexpensive!! Don't let the shady appearance scare you away. It's definitely a"must try" place!! ????

First time trying Mabel's famous Clearfield ???? pizza. What an experience, I was told that they are only opened on Saturday's. I'm not sure if this is true because the website says differently. I know how that goes. My wife called at 7:20 and the wait was over an hour, no biggie, I had to pick up more hoagies/subs from Sid's. No credit cards, cash or check only. $50 fee for bounced checks, which is pretty funny that someone would buy a pizza for a few bucks and bounce a check but I get it, Clearfield is a tough economy, this Nation is a tough economy. Gas is .40 cents more up here. So I get back to the hotel, I tried it, my wife who is not a big pizza person liked it better than last night's Scottios. I thought that it was good, mixed reviews from the kids.

Think old Forge pizza but lighter, thinner, crispier and much much better. Cash and takeout only and expect to wait at least an hour. But it is well worth the wait.
