Las Islas Marias Mariscos

First time visiting this restaurant, and I was immediately impressed. There is plenty of parking available, and we didn't have to wait long to be seated. (We came in Easter around 3pm.) I ordered the Tamarindo margarita and ceviche mixta (medium). And let me tell you the medium was just enough for me. My friend ordered filete de ajo (garlic fish fillet). I took a bite of the fish, and it was to die for, and the beans on the side were just right. There was plenty of seating inside as well, and I noticed a microphone near thy bar area so they may have karaoke nights. I will definitely be coming back, esp since summer is around the corner.

My shrimp cocktail was good. Sadly, service sucks.

My birthday dinner was amazing! Amazing crab legs, crayfish, & muscles. I think I have to roll to my car now lol & they even gave me complementary birthday shots! 10/10 recommend!

We had a great experience here years ago and finally made it back. My family and I were so disappointed. We expected the prices to be higher due to all the inflation. The food quality and flavor did not match the prices, though. Like not even close. The carne asada plate with shrimp was not worth it. The rice tasted like "minute" rice. The steak was barely seasoned. The shrimp were not even deveined and overcooked. To the point where the texture was very off-putting. The piña rellena was very sad looking. It looked and tasted nothing like it did before. Again, the shrimp weren't deveined. The peppers were diced so small (not like pictured online). The sauce was very watery. I'm sure there are some very tasty dishes available, but for the prices they are charging, everything should be on point. The service was the bare minimum, and we were the only ones there. I don't mind spending money on going out, but I expect tasty food and good service. I don't think that's too much to expect from restaurants who want our hard earned money.
