La Nacional Mexican Buffet

Small little Mexican take out and dine in restaurant served fast already prepared food, there’re also some special dishes cooked from kitchen and needed waiting time like fried whole fish and some beef soup. This is the only place that I’ll come for authentic Mexican food and whole fried tilapia. Mi restaurante Mexicano favarito.

We visited here last year and I would rate 5/5 but it's not an actual buffet, it's a cafeteria style restaurant with buffet in the name for some reason. We drove all the way over here expecting a nice sit down buffet so I feel really disappointed to be served food in Styrofoam containers.... although the food was great. I read some other reviews saying it used to be a buffet. I don't get why they list it as a buffet if it's not, and if it's because of food prices why not give people the option to have a buffet if they pay more? Also, I REALLY dislike not being able to serve my own portions. This is partially why I like buffets. Like, it's really difficult to say like 1 and 1/3rd of a spoon full of something. I'd much rather just be able to put it on there myself. Covid 19 is over so I'm not sure what the germaphobia is about??? Some of the old pictures showed people getting their own food. So my biggest complaint is the name is misleading and they don't have options for a buffet.

Buffet style Mexican, great deal for the money at pay per lb. I am a HUGE fan of tamales so wasexcited it was part of the buffet!

Used to be great, 5 out of 5 stars but then for some reason they still did not open up after Corona despite the fact that every other restaurant opened up. It's not a real buffet anymore. I saw a reply on another comment. "You can literally eat with us for less than a fast food restaurant and we make homemade food daily. " No, not at all true. Del Taco is way cheaper. I can get 5 burritos for less than 10 bucks at del taco. Here would be about 20 dollars for the same thing. I don't get why they don't have the all you can eat buffet option anymore. If price is a factor just charge more for it. If other restaurants are charging 15 dollars then simply charge 15 dollars. I have to drive 30 minutes out of town to get to the nearest Mexican buffet and they only charge 13.99 for it. I'd pay 16 dollars to get the REAL buffet back here. AT LEAST HAVE THE OPTION! Maybe during certain times or days of the week?

This place is awesome great tamales ordered the 12 tamale option and horchata everything was delicious keep it up you all looking forward to ordering again ????
