Best Mexican food in the area. The Barbocoa is amazing and the atmosphere is friendly. I love this place. Editing this because I Love IT so much. All the staff here is so nice and the food is definitely the best authentic Mexican in VA. This place is the best ever and everyone working here makes It what IT is. Love IT Just tried the Menudo today and it was even better than I remember from Mexico. Absolutely love coming here

No no and No ! I ordered 8 street tacos FOR lunch asked my husband to pick up it cost me 40 dollars (((((. 40 )))))))) i will neeeeever go back there to eat again Meanwhile there is a taco truck in Norfolk called Rositas where I can buy 8 street tacos for 20 something dollars. I do it alllll the tome on the weekends when i have time to go but dont worry about it. Thats messed up! Not wating in, no chips and salsa just carry out 8 simple tacos for 40 dollars smh

The best tacos in all of Virginia!!! I Love all the meat selections and the corn tortillas make them even better! I recommend using the red salsa, it's the best I've taste EVER IN MY LIFE! They make you feel right at home as soon as you walk in, plus they have the best prices. Come once and you'll be hooked for life!

I really like this place because they have authentic Mexican food. They don’t have a lot of options but the food, particularly the tacos, are some of the best in the area. I like that they have cabeza, which is either beef/pork head. The place has a rustic feel, which I personally like. The prices are reasonable especially on weekdays for lunch. The music is appropriate…makes you feel like you’re in Mexico. It is also kept clean, which is always a must! My only complaint is that the customer service could be a bit abrasive and at times poor. Also the fist time I ordered a tamale it was delicious, but the second time it was dry, like they left it in the oven uncovered for too long instead of keeping it in the steamer where it’s typically cooked and can be kept hot until it’s ready to serve. Overall I recommend it and it’s worth a try!
