Jolly Sailors Inn

Very nice and talkative landlady, but as it's a Sam Smiths house just the same old beers and the obvious rules that govern all Humphrey's pubs. Plus side two cask beers on.

Warm & Cosy Lovely harbour pub serving up delicious filling & tasty meals at competitive prices. We stumbled into the Jolly Sailors one chilly evening after 2 exhilarating boat trips. Famished, we were lucky enough to bag a fabulous harbour view seat upstairs. The view was wonderful as we watched the evening light wash over the beautiful harbour...... The seats were comfortable & the atmosphere was relaxed. My meal of steak pie & chips was absolutely delicious. Hot, tasty & great portion size. My friend also enjoyed her supper. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. A lovely experience at Jolly Sailors!

Lady who served us was lovely, the food was fabulous, only got pics of the sweet but had home made Tom n pep soup , small size Sunday lunch and then choc n rasp fondue pudding with custard, 4 of us ate and it was good value for money , would highly recommend if ur ever in Whitby

What is wrong with these people!!! I never saw the stupid rule regarding not being able to use mobile phones or laptop's. I checked my phone and got told off for having my phone out ???? the guy serving was really unfriendly. Such a silly rule. The fire was nice though on a really cold night. The drink was ok and the toilets were clean.

GO TO THIS PUB IMMEDIATELY WITH YOUR PHONE. No card only cash (whyever could that be, taxman?) and they seem to think it makes them superior to ban people from looking (I don't joke) at their phones. I was there alone and minding my own business checking some messages and the woman at the bar told me off. This is genuinely the most absurd and backwards pub in the UK and it must be experienced to be believed. I say again: GO TO THIS PUB WITH YOUR PHONE OUT, IT'S HILARIOUS! Oh and the beer is awful, tastes of soap, the menu looks pretty naff BUT they had a nice fire and the other patrons seemed OK.
