Johnny's Family Restaurant

AMAZING! We were headed out for Sunday shopping and thought why not find a place for breakfast first. Wow. We were very impressed. We will be back and looking forward to trying something from their dinner menu in the near future.

First of all great service and great atmosphere. It’s a little sanctuary of traditional American diners. It’s not the flashy place with the huge menus and the stainless steel. It’s the place that you and you buddy can go and relax and chat and drink some coffee while you are eating amazing food. I had the Louisiana creole omelette and my buddy had the breakfast platter. His platter looked great but my omelette rocked my world! I loved all the flavors and the portion and price was generous. I will absolutely be returning here. My only regret is that I have lived down the street from this restaurant for 2 years and o it just found it.

Recently, my family embarked on a breakfast tour around Pasadena and stumbled upon Johnny’s Family Restaurant, a hidden gem recommended by a neighbor. Despite living in the area for three years, we had never noticed this quaint eatery. Our experience at Johnny’s was exceptional, thanks to Madison, our attentive server. Our party of five sampled a variety of breakfast staples, including French toast, pancakes, bacon, eggs, and hash browns. The consensus was unanimous: Johnny’s offerings surpassed those of other local breakfast spots. The French toast and pancakes were particularly delightful, earning praise from even our pickiest eater. The bacon was authentic and cooked to perfection, while the eggs were notably fluffy and the hash browns were cooked just right. What stood out, in addition to the food quality, was the value. The cost for five meals was surprisingly reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the dishes. It’s a mystery why there isn’t a constant line outside Johnny’s, given the quality and value they offer. Johnny’s has certainly earned its place as our go-to breakfast destination in Pasadena. Highly recommended for anyone looking for top-notch breakfast fare at a great price.

This place was very nice! It's got a friendly environment, and calming atmosphere. The staff and service makes you feel as if you're at home, along with the food which feels nostalgic and warm. The service was alright, we had to remind the waitress to grab the check along with serving us the wrong food. As for the cleanliness of the place, it was alright. Nothing extraordinary about that. The food on the other hand was sub-par, it's for sure edible, but something about it was off.

I’m so glad we stumbled upon this restaurant. This is our new go to dinner spot. We been here twice. The atmosphere and food is homey. They have a vast menu. So far we tried the French dip, sea and land burger, and chicken Chesapeake, crab dip, and chicken tenders. We loved everything we tried so far.
