Jitters Coffee House

I was so excited to try this place after hotel coffee. Finally, a real cup of coffee, at least that was my hope. I was so encouraged by the welcoming design, kids play area, and the little section of Christian gifts. I also liked the scripture they put on the table tents. Unfortunately, I tried something new and took a total gamble. It was a special—I believe it was called a lemon bar cheesecake latte. I know, kind of a weird coffee choice. After trying my 6 dollar coffee that held such potential, I was very disappointed as it did not taste like coffee. I asked if I could trade it for something else when the cashier asked the manager, and she said sure. She rang up my new order and was going to charge me for it????—unexpected and not the right thing to do. I asked again and said, how about a plain coffee to replace this? The cashier called the manager again and she said, “I’m sorry we don’t do that here,” with a full on smile. So very disappointed on many levels. This company’s service does not jive with what I would expect from a company selling Christianity as its decor and gifts. Moral of this story, don’t take a food or beverage risk because if you are disappointed, they don’t care.

We stopped in on our way to the Amish antique tool store. First thing we noticed how welcoming it felt just walking in. The layout was relaxing to just hang out and enjoy the coffee. It was very clean. The staff was kind and friendly when I asked several questions. My husband was wowed how good his mocha was. My chai was equally good. We will definitely be back if back in the area. If you're debating on going, go. You won't be disappointed.

Picked up mini donuts and coffees for some athletes and they were very appreciative! The donuts were delicious and perfect size! I ordered two double lattes and the gal taking our order got it wrong 3 or 4 times when putting it in the computer but was able to make it right and was patient with us.

This is a great place for a cup of coffee and do work. There pastries are also amazing. I really enjoy the maple cream stick.

Stopped in for a quick lunch today. We usually think there food is very good. Not today. My wife ordered the Jitter dog as she has many times. It normally comes on a house made bun almost like an éclair bun. Today it was on a toasted piece of dry rye bread not sure why. I ordered the Rueben sandwich the corn beef was sliced very thick, again it is not normally like this. When it is cut thick it makes the sandwich chewy. So I'm not sure what has changed I don't know if there was a change of ownership or what but this visit is not anything we have become a custom to while eating at Jitters. Hopefully this was just an off day. Not sure i will hurry back if this is the new norm.
