The last time we were in the area this restaurant was not open (off season) but has since re-opened for the season so we decided to give it a try. It is very pretty building and popular with tourists as well as local Amish families. The restaurant is known for their Austrian and Swedish fare. We ordered the cheese fondue for starters and it has a combination of cheeses, wine and Sherry. Everybody seemed to enjoy it. They even will give you the fondue recipe if you ask. We had the perogies for dinners would definitely order them again. For those who want salad or burgers they were on the menu as well.
While visiting Amish country we stopped in for dinner. We found the food and restaurant to be quaint. We were by far the youngest patrons, considering we are in our late 40’s I would not say this would be of interest to the younger generation. The food was ok and the desserts were ok. Overall it was a change of pace from the normal. I would probably not return.
The atmosphere was nice and place clean and table areas by the window to few the landscape. The baby Swiss fondue was tasty and the soup was also good. Or server Brian was very kind and did all he could to make sure we enjoyed the food. The German chocolate cake is tasty.
This was our first visit here and the food is very food and the prices are reasonable. The food serving are fairly large, so come hungry. We had the cheese fondue which is very good and I had the bratwurst meal. It was also very good. I wood definitely eat here again.
Shure it's a bit touristy, but it's definitely different. Nicely decorated and genuinely good food which represents the region (Bavaria / Switzerland). Had a tasty meal and excellent, friendly service. Would certainly return.
