Food and drinks are good!!!! I love the fried brocolli. Nice ambience and very spacious. I'm always able to get a nice area for me and 4 others to dine in. Fresh hot food. The taste of the food never disappoints me. ????

Absolutely Amazing! Smothered chicken, mac -n- cheese, yams and chicken-n-waffles with onion rings were the best I've had. Everything had its own recipe that you will not taste anywhere else but, maybe, your home. I am stuffed; I couldn't stop eating because it tasted so good. Also, service was top notch, no lie, three different servers help us without us asking for a thing.

This was my first time visiting J Rucker's, it was nothing like the negative reviews I've seen. From what I was told it is under new management. I really enjoyed the service and the food. You would rarely find a restaurant that say they're "Soul Food". The food taste like a "Southern Home Cooked" meal. Nothing (Macaroni cheese, Sweet Potatoes, Collard Greens, Fried Okra) taste like it was out of a can or bag. Flavor was tasty and portion was just right for its price. Not to forget the smothrred baked chicken & rice and Seafood dinner - seasoned fried catfish (not smushy or fatty) & shrimp. We couldn't eat it all. Thumbs up ???? to the cooks, bartender, waitress, hostess,and everyone that came to check-in on us. It is a nice southern touch venue that is great for an event, party, mini- concert, etc. Whatever the y'all did tonight, keep it up. Enjoyed everything,even the music. Need a live band or performance now

Food was very good. Staff going thru some growing pains but very pleasant. Catfish Plate $9 and Red beans and Rice with Sausage $7.50 plus our sides.

This place is awesome the customer service is awesome we had soooo much fun for my sisters birthday dinner wish I would’ve took more pictures but we were having so much I forgot everyone enjoyed the food and the atmosphere this place is huge y’all please try the fried broccoli omg I want some now lol soooo freakin good The bartender Christy is so freaking awesome I love love her vibe We will definitely be back more than once
