Hillger's Bar

We were staying at a campground in Oxford and I did a search for dive bars and found this one about an hour away. We were greeted by the bartender Rhonda (Big Bird) who is very friendly and knows how to pour a good drink. Prices are great ($3 for well drinks). The bar has a lot of history and we got to meet the son of one of the original owners.

I love dive bars and this place was great. Old crowd that likes to chat, yeah that's my style. Cheap cold beer, love that too. The bartender didn't really pay attention to anyone. I ranked service poor because of that. It wasn't just me. I left after 2, I went somewhere else. I didn't have any food, not sure if they serve any. So, I can't really rate food. Different bartender and maybe this place would grow on me. Wasn't a bad place. I'm just use to attentive bartenders.

Clean. Great drink prices. No food but , they allow you to order food to bring in. Staff is very friendly and pool is only 50c!!

It is literally a small dive but not a normal dive. This is literally Clean as hell. And they really take care of you. Come here and have a good time. I’m very comfortable. Screw the water. Come to this bar and play some pool and have a drink :)

This is a great local place, it's like Cheers when the regulars are in. It can get noisy on the weekends. Cheap drinks and friendly faces behind the bar.
