Halvorson Beach

We visited today as our half way point cycling from Dorset to Nevis and back to Dorset. My daughter loved the playground and we definitely enjoyed the swimming area, I went snorkeling while my wife and daughter looked for cool rocks and shells. While snorkeling I made friends with a few fish, they were very curious about the hairless monkey waving at them and just being a kid again. All in all we had a blast, unfortunately had no cash for the lemonade stand local kids have set up. I'm sure it was delicious, it definitely looked so ????

Not the biggest beach in Minnesota, pretty small actually. Nice park with around a dozen picnic tables. South, southwest view keeps it warm in the afternoon. Sandy lake bottom, raft for the kids to play, fishing pier, boat dock, reasonable bathrooms. It is kind of steep of a slope down to the beach but it's worth it. Nice newer playground for the littler ones.

Steep Hill to access the beach. In the summer there is a floating dock. The local lions club recently updated all of the playground equipment. Local fishing Pier is located just across the way. Lots of panfish and fun for kids.

Nice little beach and park in Nevis, MN. Watched the PR Ski Club do a show tonight. Bathrooms in the park are singles and dated but clean.

I love the beach but the walk up and down the hill is hard for many visitors. There should be more level flat ground to walk on to get to the beach from the parking lot and back.
