Golden Star Chinese & American Restaurant

Some of the lowest quality food I’ve ever had bad in every way dry, flavorless, and boring. Got the chicken curry and the orange chicken very very disappointing couldn’t even finish the meals they were so bad.

I have been seeing reviews that this place was great, so my daughter and I had to try it out. Large portions and pretty great price! My daughter got the combination sweet and sour and I got the prawn shrimp fried rice. Between the time we got there and got our food, over 12 carry out orders went out the door. (Probably more like 20+) Will definitely go back again!

Stopped in at Golden Star for the first time last night. It was around 7:30, and they had clearly just cleared out from their dinner rush. Even so, we were seated promptly and the service was excellent. The food was also great! We got the Super Star Family Combo and it was easily enough for 2-3 meals. We took most of it home and still left full. Everything came out hot, fresh, and was good quality. The meal came with egg rolls (amazing. Some of the best Chinese-style egg rolls I've had in the area), wonton chips (very fresh and crisp), soup, Almond Chicken, Sweet and Sour Pork, Pork Fried Rice, fried shrimp, Sizzling Beef, and BBQ Pork (that hot mustard is no joke, but delicious). With all of that, a soda, and one cocktail, the meal was under $60. Great value, great service, great food. We will definitely be back to try some more of their dishes!

Absolutely disappointed! I’ve gone here before 5/6 yrs ago the food was great! I live in port orchard but happened to be in that area. Absolutely waste of my money! Shrimp egg foo young had canned shrimp, #4 lunch was supposed to be beef/broccoli I got pork ! $50 spent for really bad food! Even the pork fried rice was bad! I haven’t eaten the war won ton soup but based on everything else I’m not expecting much!

Been coming here over 40 years. The fried wonton chips, almond chicken, and sweet and sour pork are amazing! Always, hot, fresh, and on point.
