Geneva Nails and Spa Allston

I’ve been going to Jade for over a year and cannot recommend her and the rest of the Geneva staff more highly!! She has impeccable taste - my nails are always beautifully shaped and she has such an eye for color! Every color and design she’s recommended are gorgeous, creative, and a joy to wear. (Like this Halloween manicure from today!!) If this weren’t enough, she is kind and friendly and funny - each appointment feels like I get to see a friend. She and the rest of the staff at Geneva are incredible!

Do not get dazzle dry here! They have barely any colors to choose from and they don’t take care of their polish. The woman doing my nails last night didn’t bother adding the dazzle dry thinning drops to the thick and goopy color and top coat, so my nails were covered in little bubbles within an hour of leaving the salon.

I have been getting dip manicures and pedicures with Jade for about a year and she NEVER disappoints. She has been able to do any nail design I’ve requested and also has amazing ideas of her own. She does a beautiful job shaping my natural nails and has helped them grow so long with her consistent care. She is so nice and funny that my nail appointments always fly by (plus, she’s super efficient). I recently got my Christmas manicure from her and she exceeded all of my expectations! I cannot recommend her enough!

I usually love this salon and have been many times years ago, but lately when I’ve gone they’ve been so overbooked and the quality of the service has gone down. Last time I went, I scheduled an appointment but waited an hour to get it done with no time updates from the staff. This past time, I came 15 mins early to my appointment and the manicure started out great, but 4 people walked in after me with the same appointment time as me and the salon only had 3 workers on staff. And all 3 techs were already working on people. My nail tech rushed my manicure, only put two coats on which wasn’t enough for the color. She didn’t let me dry my nails under the UV lamp for the full amount of time before applying other coats/finishing polish. And there were lots of air bubbles in the polish that can be seen now. Getting nails done is an extra cost and when it’s a rushed low quality experience, it’s just a bummer to have spent extra money and time. I wish they wouldn’t rush through peoples appointments. It’s a great salon if you can go on a day that it’s not busy, but if you are trying to fit an appointment in during your day or if you are getting your nails done for an important occasion, this isn’t the place to go.

The place was nice and clean. I got gel Manicure done, not too thrilled with the nails though. They do 3 coats of nail paint but mine were still pretty translucent. Maybe I should have chosen a darker color?!
