El Tequila Mex Restaurant

The food here was outstanding, and the service second to none. We had barely been seated when we got our tortilla chips - fresh, warm and tasty with fresh not too zingy salsa. The chunky guacamole starter was delicious, with fresh tomato, onion and just a touch of heat along with fresh cilantro. The entrees were delivered in a timely manner even though the restaurant was fairly busy - and boy the serving size is BIG!! Hubby and I both were in agreement that it was the best Mexican meal we had eaten in a long time. So good that we ate more than we intended and still had plenty to take home. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We found a GREAT stop for Mexican food on the road to Nashville from Missouri. The portions were large. The fajitas were fresh, tasty and well presented on hot fajita platters. The chips and chorizo queso were high quality and yummy????. Plus our waitress Michelle was friendly and detailed in making sure we got what we wanted. Good/great pricing. Location is close, less than a half mile from I-24. Clean and updated bathrooms too! This will be our future meal stop on trips from St Louis to Nashville and beyoind??

I had combo platter #3. Food was good. Very mild flavor. I needed to add the salsa to get that flavorful bite. Items were fresh. Nice for a little place off the beaten path. Slasa was good with a little heat. Corn chips were crispy. Update. I've visited here several more times. Staff is great food has always been good.

Fantastic Food!!! Stopped along our route not thinking it was Cinco de Mayo very busy but definitely worth the wait!! Huge portions that was a half order & 3 tacos & delicious!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

After a long morning and afternoon exploring the Shawnee National Forest, this restaurant was greatly appreciated. The food was great, and the menu items were interesting, with more than diverse in ingredients than what I’d consider to be run-of-the-mill Mexican restaurants. I’d consider the plates to be a good value, as we both had plenty of leftovers for later.
