Checo's Mexican Restaurant

Best molcajete around Lake of the Ozarks. Super friendly staff. Who have a family friendly home cooking vibe. Grandma's tacos at the family get together. Is what comes to mind.

First time eating at checo's. I orders the carne asada meal which comes with rice, beans pico and avocado slices. The carne asada is a finely cut top sirloin steak grilled to a medium well finish. You get corn or flour tortillas with the meal as well. I enjoyed it but was not a fan of the rice. I love Mexican rice but this one was not to my taste. Over all i enjoyed the food here. The meal with a water was 16 dollars with a tip.

The best (not only) restaurant in Vienna. Mexican fare, every option tasty and my current favorite is the Tacos Al Pastor (photo). There was recently a price increase, but still worth it and hands down some of the best Mexican food in MO.

I used to like this place. Tonight was a different story. Prices were okay, portions were good, but that is all that can be said. I went here and despite me thanking our waitress several times her manners were lacking in saying you are welcome and smiling. They charge your tip without asking to your card which was quite a bit of tip for not such a good waitress. My drink was never refilled and I went empty nor did she ever ask me if I needed any more to drink. If you use your card here watch out they charge an additional 4%. I have had way better Mexican. You want a good place El cabrito in saint robert mo beats this place hands down every time. I'll never be back to this place ever again.
